Social Security and Federal Benefits Questions
If you reside in Ecuador and have questions regarding services provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA), you must contact the SSA Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) located in Santo Domingo. The U.S. Embassy in Quito and the U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil can only provide this service if you never had a Social Security number and are:
- U.S. Citizen
- Over 12 years old
